  1. I appreciate that you included noticing energy bills when considering boiler repair versus boiler replacement. I don’t know that I would have thought of that, but it makes sense that in the long run you would save money if you bought a new boiler that is more energy efficient. It would also be better for the environment to upgrade the boiler!

  2. I haven’t thought about that boilers are something that will need to be replaced, I always assumed they could just be repaired and done with. But it makes sense that since boilers have a lifespan they, too, would need to be replaced at some point. It’s good to know that ten to fifteen years is the lifespan to keep in mind for boilers. When it gets closer to the lifespan of the boiler to be up, I think it’s a good idea to do as much personal research, into contractors, as possible in hopes of finding one that won’t cost too much.
